The
Cotswolds is world famous for the special
beauty and distinctiveness of its towns, villages
and landscape.
It is one of the most wonderful places in the
country to explore with something for everyone
to enjoy: there are charming villages and historic
market towns, impressive churches and imposing
manor houses, rolling countryside and glorious
gardens and arboreta.
Within the the Cotswolds there is a wealth of
things to do – be it visiting a Roman fort or
medieval manor, shopping for home grown produce
at a farmers market or buying local wares in a
Cotswold village, walking the Cotswold Way or
exploring magnificent woodlands.
The AONB Partnership is doing everything it can
to help people enjoy the Cotswolds so that a visit
is both a rewarding experience and does not destroy
the distinctive character of the area – and remains
somewhere special for future generations to enjoy
When
exploring the Cotswolds, people are being encouraged
to leave the car at home, let some one else do
the driving and explore the Cotswolds on foot,
cycles and by public transport.
The AONB Partnership
has designed special walks, cycle rides and bus
routes to take in the hidden charm of the Cotswolds
countryside and all the features that make the
Cotswolds special
